Now you can share your ideas with other Cyberday users and vote for your favourites! 🎉
We added a new Development ideas -section to Cyberday Community. Here you can post own ideas or vote for other ideas to bring them up on the lists. We're hoping many active users take part to bring their opinions visible and indicate which improvements would be truly beneficial!
How to get to the Development ideas -section?
Find the Development ideas -section on the left menu under Community.
If you're an active participant, you might want to pin the Community menu item for easier access. Pinning is a personal choice.
How to participate on the development idea forum?
Development ideas main page lists the development ideas from the general idea group and all other idea groups you've joined.
Ideas are by default sorted by total votes. Below the listing, you can also see different idea groups, which you can join. (See article section "What are development idea groups, and how to join?")
Posting your own development idea
When you have a development idea, don't hesitate -bring it to the forum! Start adding your idea by clicking on "New development idea".
Note! If you have a specific development wish, for example framework (e.g. ISO 27001) or feature (e.g. reporting) related, you can first navigate to the corresponding idea group and post it directly there.
Tips for posting the development idea:
- Choose to eithe post anonymously or use your own details. In either case, your organization name won't be visible to others.
- Write a good development idea name, from which anyone can understand the core of the idea.
- Explain out the idea on description, and how it could make the Cyberday platform better.
After the development idea is sent, it will be passed to the Cyberday team for review before publication. This is in place to filter out pure spam or ideas that have already been implemented. In the latter case, you'll get a direct reply from our team pointing you to the right features. Review may take a moment, please be patient. 😇
Voting for your favourite ideas
Each user gets a total 10 votes, which they can allocate to the development ideas of their choice. You'll always see your overall vote status on the top menu. Vote for your favourites, or vote for your own ideas to bring them up in the list!
My votes: How many votes out of 10 you have left. If a development idea you've voted gets implemented or otherwise closed, you'll get your votes back.
Upvotes: When you want to support an idea, click the thumbs up icon either on the list or inside the individual idea. This element also shows if you have already voted on an idea. You can vote for the same idea up to three times to show your support!
Total votes: This shows the idea's full voting count, and at the same time shows Cyberday team what development ideas are on the top of wishlist.
Tip: If you change your mind, or if you encounter an even better idea, you can remove your vote from the thread simply by clicking on the thumb as many times as the vote count goes above 3/3.
What are development idea groups, and how to join?
We have plenty of bright and active users, so we're expecting also a lot of great ideas.
To help you and us categorize the ideas on the forum, we've created Idea groups. These are meant for grouping related ideas together and help you see the ideas that are relevent for you on the forum.
To see all idea groups, click "Idea groups" button on top right:
Next page will list all available idea groups. There are separate groups for some main use cases and some main features.
When you Join an idea group, you'll then see it's ideas always on your Development ideas -section.
Some of the idea groups are semi-open, which means you can "request to join" the group. You'll need to be associated e.g. to an organization on the corresponding industry, to be accepted in. You'll get an admin confirmation soon, after you request to join.
